Active rectifiers PBI2z

The rectifier has been designed taking into account the achievements of modern electrical engineering, based on an IGBT transistor bridge controlled by a microprocessor control system.

The transformer and the transistor bridge convert the three-phase mains voltage into DC voltage and current following the requirements of the batteries and consumers. The transformer also provides galvanic isolation of DC voltage from the mains.

About product

The basic operating mode of the PBI2z rectifier is battery buffer charging. In the buffer mode, the rectifier supplies the consumers with direct current and recharges the batteries by adjusting the voltage in such a way that the battery is always fully charged. It is possible to switch the rectifier into automatic charging mode with increased voltage according to the IU diagram – with the possibility of setting the voltage level. The operating algorithm in this mode provides for an automatic return to the buffer mode after the charging current is reduced to the preset value. The device is equipped with a microprocessor system for monitoring parameters and battery status.

An additional operating mode of the PBI2z rectifier is the battery discharge mode. In the battery discharge mode, the energy stored in the battery is converted and transferred to the power grid with a set power or current value. The discharge is carried out until the set minimum battery voltage is reached.

The device is used in power plants, transformer stations, industrial plants, and nuclear power plants. It can be used both autonomously and as part of a guaranteed DC voltage system. The PBI2z can be used as a DC source in the UPS and for battery charging.

Device is designed for:

receiving AC energy from the power grid and converting it into DC electricity
