Development strategy for 2022-2026

Innovations to support energy transition and green technologies

With the accelerated energy transition in the European Union and the world and the adopted Energy Policy of Poland until 2040, the Group plans to take advantage of the green transition for dynamic development in selected technological areas of activity.

Dynamic changes will also be visible in other sectors in which the APS Energia Group operates: industrial sector, rail infrastructure, transportation and traction, nuclear power, energy storage, e-mobility, RES, and other sectors.

Strategic Directions:

Energy storage, RES, e-mobility
Transportation
Nuclear energy

Growing trend in renewable energy

We are witnessing the transformation of the coal-based energy model. We want to be active in this process, and based on our extensive technological experience as a company, we are building market potential in energy storage and photovoltaic farms.

We are also active in the area of electromobility and have plans to launch electric chargers shortly.

Nuclear energy

For 13 years, we have been building experience in manufacturing equipment for the nuclear power industry. We are the only Polish company with the know-how and the required safety certificates to supply equipment.

Thanks to the credentials, we intend to apply to supply equipment for future investments, for example, in Egypt, Finland, Turkey, Hungary, India, and Bangladesh. In pursuit of the strategy, we have ensured that we have been awarded supplier status in the construction and operation of Polish nuclear units, both those built with state funds and those projects in the private sector.

We participate in the Polish Nuclear Power Program and have signed cooperation agreements with such companies as Westinghouse Electric Company, Doosan Enerbility, part of the group of companies cooperating with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) as part of Team Korea KHNP and France’s EDF.

Transport

A growing population and lifestyle changes are increasing the potential for sustainable public transportation.

Seeing the potential in green transportation, our R&D department is constantly developing new technological solutions for this segment.

Our portfolio includes:

  • power systems for metro facilities and railroad traffic control,
  • modern static converters, drive inverters designed for subway vehicles, streetcars, trolleybuses, other rail vehicles, electric locomotive multiple units, as well as railcars,
  • hydrogen-powered systems.
