Rectifiers PBI CW/CS
PBI rectifiers are DC power supply units adapted to the needs of industrial plants with high requirements for efficiency, technical parameters, and reliability.
About product
Rectifier system of relatively small power (up to 22kW) for autonomic operation. PBI CW is available in an enclosure that can be mounted on the wall. PBI CS is in a small-size free-standing enclosure. They are equipped with full control of the system operation and necessary functionalities (thermal compensation, automatic battery circuit continuity test, and others). The small-size device design allows for installing it in a small room.
PBI-type buffer power supply units are intended for operation in DC uninterruptible power supply systems as a voltage source for consumers and charging batteries with rated voltages of 24VDC, 48VDC, 110VDC, 220VDC, 400VDC, 700VDC, or other compliant with its specification.
Rectifiers are designed to supply consumers connected to the battery as well as directly from the power supply unit.
Due to IGBT transistors usage in the power supply converter, it operates with pulse width modulation (PWM) and superacoustic frequency. Rectifier has such features as:
Rectifier provides:
The power supply is equipped with a microprocessor (DSP) control system for the inverter operation and battery status control. It has the following protection systems:
- against overheating of the power circuits,
- against short-circuit currents,
- against overvoltage.
Rectifier allows to charge battery in 3 modes:
- Buffer operation. In this mode, the device supplies power to the battery and/or loads with a voltage of a high level of stability and the required value (usually 2.23 V/cell). The buffering voltage is compensated thermally by means of a thermal probe which is present in standard equipment and which should be placed near the powered battery.
- Automatic charging. If the battery is discharged completely or partially (for example as a result of a supply voltage failure), the battery should be recharged as soon as possible in order to prepare it to operate in case of another possible failure. Increasing the voltage by some value will make it possible to equalize the charge in the cells. For this reason, the power supply has been equipped with a mode of automatic charging to the voltage of 2,4V/cell.
- Supervised charging. In case of cooperation with open acid batteries, additional equalizing charging of the battery to the voltage of 2,7V/cell should be performed periodically. In this mode, the voltage value limit is 2,7V/cell, and the charging current is set in a simple manner by means of the keyboard during the operation of the power supply.
