On the 21st of December 2021, the Board of APS Energia issued a resolution, approved by the Supervisory Board, on the new strategy for the APS Energia Group for 2022-2026. Changes in the company’s business environment and the situation caused by the pandemic of the coronavirus Covid-19 are the pillars of the document. In addition, the Board decided that in the ongoing five-year tenure, the existing Board structure will be strengthened by Vice President Hubert Stępniewicz from the 1st of January 2022.

Strategic goals
In connection with the accelerated energy transformation in the European Union and the world, and the adopted Energy Policy of Poland until 2040, APS Energia Group plans to take advantage of the green transformation for dynamic development in selected technological areas.
The new strategic focus is on the development of energy storage and RES. Moreover, the company wants to increase the scale of operations and product portfolio for traction and transport, rail infrastructure and e-mobility. There will be crucial also proactivity in the field of nuclear energy.

 

New Management Board Member
From 1st of January 2022 two-person board of APS Energia S.A. will strengthen the new person. Mr. Hubert Stępniewicz will take over the second position of Vice President. He graduated, among others, from Finance and Banking Faculty at Warsaw School of Economics and Advanced Management Program at IESE Business School in Barcelona. From 2002 to 2021 he worked in the management boards of the following companies: Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. in Radom, Polski Tabor Szynowy Sp. z o.o. in Katowice, H. Cegielski – Fabryka Pojazdów Szynowych Sp. z o.o. in Poznań, VIS Systems Sp. z o.o. in Gliwice, Zakłady Naprawcze Lokomotyw Elektrycznych S.A. (ZNLE S.A.) in Gliwice, Hygienika S.A. (former Euro Cristal S.A.) in Marki, near Warsaw. Previously gained experience in 3TS Venture Partners, Innova Capital, Fund.1 NFI, Dom Maklerski Dromex S.A.
