Battery charger with diesel generator control capability PBI 24/250 TR
Product description
Traction charger of PBI 24/250 TR series is intended for charging batteries present in a vehicle. Rated voltage of the batteries is 24 V. PBI 24/250 TR charger is intended for charging batteries from 3×400 VAC platform power network during standstill of a vehicle and controlling the vehicle’s diesel generator. When enabled and unlocked, the PBI 24/250 TR charger, upon receiving a signal via the CAN bus about the activation of the 24 VDC diesel generator or in the absence of 3×400 VAC power, automatically switches to operating mode. In this mode, it controls the output voltage from the 24 VDC diesel generator through a 4–20 mA current output, thus charging the batteries on the vehicle.
Charger control and indication of its operation state is done via dedicated inputs and outputs located on the face plate of the device. Moreover, the battery operation state indication is transferred to the vehicle communication system (TCMS) via CANOPEN V 2.0 A protocol.
