IRIS certificate for APS Energia
In May this year, the auditors of the certification body Bureau Veritas (BV) checked whether or not the processes of designing, manufacturing and service on the facilities of APS Energia are in accordance with the requirements of the IRIS standard rev. 02.1. The audit’s results were positive. Obtaining the certificate will enable the company’s further expansion to the traction and transport markets.
IRIS standard (International Railway Industry Standard) was developed by the European Railway Industry Association (UNIFE), whose members include major manufacturers of the industry in Europe (such as Bombardier Transportation, Alstom Transport, Siemens Transportation and Ansaldo Breda). The aim of standard’s introduction was to improve the quality and reliability of rolling stock throughout the supply chain. IRIS certificate replaces the certificates issued by individual manufacturers of rolling stock, which is why it applies for most start-ups in the rail market.
APS Energia from 2013 is expanding to the traction and transport markets. Company’s engineering team has developed a range of modern inverters used in rail vehicles. Equipment manufactured by APS Energia fulfill the high quality requirements, ensuring reliable power supply. Twenty years of experience in designing power supply systems allows the company to cooperate with the biggest manufacturers of rail vehicles in Poland and in the world.
