APS Energia has signed a letter of intent for the production of up to 1,500 public electric car charging stations. This will be one of the largest projects in our electromobility market, carried out for a large nationwide retail chain. According to APS Energia management, the successful execution of the contract will open up new growth opportunities in the production of chargers and energy storage.

APS Energia has signed a document with the listed company Grodno SA and electric vehicle charging station operator Eway SA. This confirms the intention to cooperate in the production and installation of up to 1,500 single and multi-station public AC and DC charging stations for electric cars in Poland. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

„This will be a large project, one of the largest in our electromobility market, implemented for a large nationwide retail chain. The successful implementation of the contract will open up new opportunities for us to cooperate in the field of chargers and energy storage, providing an additional impetus in the development of one of our strategic directions. We want to take advantage of the technology company’s extensive experience, building market potential in the area of electromobility and energy storage”– comments CEO Piotr Szewczyk.

According to the assumptions APS Energia role will be the production of chargers together with the uploading of software and the partial installation of charging stations through its subsidiary ENAP.

“We will be responsible for servicing the entire 1,500 stations. Company Eway will be the system operator of the chargers we have manufactured, including handling the settlements with the financial operators Mastercard and Visa. Grodno with its central warehouse and unrestricted access to installation components, will secure the contract from an infrastructural and logistical point of view. In our assumptions for the project, we assumed that the production of chargers would start by the end of this year, and the first installations of charging stations should start from the first quarter of 2025. We assume that, on average, we should be installing around 60 stations per month, so as to close the entire project by the end of 2026” – says Piotr Skrzyńśki, Operations Director APS Energia.
